Reverend Al Sharpton is planning a march in the nation’s capital for October 15th.
The march, which will coincide with the dedication ceremony for the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial (which had been rescheduled due to Hurricane Irene) will call together folks to assemble in support for the progressive agenda and to bring attention to the unemployed, underemployed, and disenfranchised.
Reverend Sharpton has said in the past that beyond race-based disenfranchisement – economic justice is the real concern moving forward in this nation. This fact, brought to bear in Reverend King’s many timeless speeches holds just as true today as ever.
So join Reverend Al for his march on Washington Oct 15th. I’m sure there’ll be more details on his show on MSNBC.
